We are looking to recruit a trustworthy, dynamic, reliable and motivated individual to join our Catering team on the bank. The ability to work weekends and bank holidays is essential.

Working under the guidance of senior catering staff, you will be required to support in the provision of the catering operation and assist with both the preparation and cooking of meals, whilst ensuring that the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures. You will be responsible for delivering meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the hospital in a timely and efficient manner and ensuring that all the catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for. You will also be responsible for appropriate use of various pieces of catering equipment and occasionally be required to assist less experienced colleagues.

The role holder requires basic numeracy and literacy skills together with an appreciation of basic food hygiene.

Priory Hospital Newbury is a Mental Health Hospital rated as outstanding by CQC. Newbury has 30 beds made up of male Recovery and Rehabilitation and mixed Acute wards. Set on the southern outskirts of Newbury. We have a full and diverse MDT including Psychology, Creative Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrists and excellent physical health care provided by a Lead Nurse and an incredible GP. There are excellent public transport links to Reading, Basingstoke and London which is just a 50 minute train journey.

The site is warm and welcoming with a homely atmosphere.
