We're recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Northern Ireland on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
  • Assist in placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels when required
  • Assist in full weekly stocktakes
  • Managing the team, creating a positive environment where your team will feel welcomed and supported
  • Being a responsible key holder
  • Completing weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
  • Producing weekly rotas if required
  • Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are pro-active at all times
  • Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
  • Complying with Health & Safety regulations
  • Having extensive knowledge of all location products and able to advise the customer or client in a professional, helpful manner
  • Actively up sell each request to maximise revenue and profitability. Maximise sales opportunities that occur within the planning and operational stages of the functions and events
  • Support your Line Manager in the achievement of sales revenue and targets for the department/location and to optimise profitability and efficiency within the unit
  • Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage operations with a focus on innovation, standards and market awareness
  • As part of our commitment for continuous improvement and innovation, all colleagues are encouraged to seek ways to improve work activities and promote efficiency

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrate supervisor experience in a similar environment
  • Good verbal communication skills in order to be able to liaise with a wide range of customers and colleagues
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • You must be smart, polite and well presented
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong Team player
  • Inspirational Leader

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working in environments involving high levels of customer care
  • 1 years’ experience as a supervisor or equivalent
  • Experience in working in a live music venue
