My client specialises in marine construction and renewables. We are currently recruiting for a Barge/Marine Fitter with the responsibility to support all aspects of the day-to-day engineering needs on the vessel.

Required experience:

  • Full GWO and either OGUK or ENG1 - Essential
  • Happy to work away weeks at a time
  • Hydraulic systems and the ability to read and understand hydraulic schematic diagrams
  • Hydraulic fault diagnosis
  • Air compressors and basic pneumatic systems
  • Diesel engines / power packs - servicing and repair
  • Basic knowledge of single and three phase electrical circuits and equipment
  • Basic IT ability for record keeping etc
