A leading global law firm requires a resilient and tenacious business development and marketing specialist with drive, enthusiasm and a forward-thinking mindset to provide support to their London Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations practice by assisting partners and associates with the development and implementation of BD and marketing plans and initiatives.

You will be supported by and collaborate closely with the broader London Marketing team which includes specialised teams in events, digital marketing, pitch support and both external and internal communications, alongside client relationship management. The role holder will be required to act as a deputy to the Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager and will help coach and develop other members of the team. Driving BD activity for one or more global specialisms and a sector, you will develop and implement BD plans aligned with the LAI strategy and will be responsible for ensuring consistency across the pitch process and planning and facilitating the execution of initiatives relating to client targeting and nurturing priority client relations. On the marketing side, the Business Development & Marketing Manager will assist in raising the practice’s external profile through product and market-specific campaigns, thought leadership, PR, client and industry events and online presence. In addition, you will be tasked with the creation of a system of continuous management for the core BD and marketing infrastructure and will oversee and ensure the delivery of directory and awards submissions for the group.

A successful candidate will a proactive business development and marketing professional with proven business development experience gained whilst working in a similar Manager level role within a professional services environment, preferably a law firm. With a can-do attitude and outstanding organisation and communication skills, the Business Development & Marketing Manager will possess the confidence to advise at partner level and the ability to coach and develop juniors. Experience or knowledge of disputes will also be essential.
