Behaviour Mentor
Overview:
We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a Secondary School in Bury to support pupils with SEMH/SEND needs. The role involves effective communication and assisting pupils, including those with autism.
Duties:
- Educate and support students in the classroom
- Help de-escalate and manage challenging behaviour
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Work closely with children, including those with autism, to facilitate their progress
- Collaborate with the team to create a nurturing environment for all children
Requirements;
- Experience working with children, in a school or similar setting
- Minimum 2 references to cover your last 2 years of employment
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- Understanding of supporting individuals with autism and additional needs
- Relevant qualifications in childcare or special education would be advantageous
