Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Job Description:

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a child in a Year 4 class at a mainstream primary school in St. Helens. This full-time role is crucial in helping the child navigate and thrive in their educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated one-on-one behaviour support to a child in Year 4.
  • Implement strategies to manage and improve the child's behaviour.
  • Assist the child in engaging with classroom activities and following school routines.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on the child's behaviour and progress to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Behaviour Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a commitment to supporting children with behavioural challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
