1:1 Behaviour Support Specialist - Full-Time Role in Leeds

If so, we have the perfect role for you! We are looking for a 1:1 Behaviour Support Specialist to join a primary school team in Leeds. This full-time position offers an incredible opportunity to provide individualised support to a child in Key Stage 2 (KS2), helping them overcome challenges and thrive in their learning environment.

What We're Specifically Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or education-based setting is essential.
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and understanding approach to supporting children with complex needs, recognising their individual strengths and challenges.
  • Ability to work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans.
  • Willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the child and school environment, always ensuring effective support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated one-on-one support to a child with SEMH needs, implementing personalised behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing relationship with the child, offering emotional support, guidance, and encouragement.
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualised support plans, ensuring the child's needs are met effectively.
  • Monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies, adjusting as necessary to facilitate the child's growth and success.
