Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you have a calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with behavioural challenges?

A welcoming and supportive school in Avonmouth (BS11), is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to positively impact children who need extra guidance in managing their emotions and behaviour.

The Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who struggle with emotional regulation and behavioural difficulties, often due to anxiety, trauma, or other challenges. Your role will be to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to help them develop positive coping strategies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

You will work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small group settings, offering personalised support to help them engage with learning and manage their behaviour. Alongside assisting the class teacher with setting up and clearing away lessons, you will play an active role in promoting a positive and structured learning environment. Your patience, empathy, and resilience will be key to helping these children build confidence and succeed in school.
