Behaviour Youth Worker Required:

Engage Education has a fantastic new role for a Behaviour Youth Worker in one of our beloved Special Schools for pupils with complex SEN/SEMH needs. We pride ourselves on recruiting the very best support staff for schools across West Yorkshire, with over a decade of experience working alongside top schools in the area. We are now searching for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to support the development and progress of the pupils - could this be you?

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion for supporting young people with complex needs and making a lasting impact in their lives.
  • Be robust, resilient and take pride in helping students who find school life challenging.
  • Be flexible, positive and have a 'can do' attitude.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with small groups of pupils
  • Follow schools policies and procedures
  • 1:1 support for students who struggle with complex needs

What Engage can offer you:

  • Earn up to £500 a week! We pay all our staff in line with the Agency Worker Regulations, so your rate will be equal to that of a permanent employee.
  • Develop your knowledge of the national curriculum. We provide ongoing support and guidance from your own dedicated Engage consultant to assist your development including a wide range of continued professional development (CPD) training sessions. These are completely free to attend and you will be invited to these.
  • £50 referral bonus for each of your friends you refer to us when they work 10 days or more.
  • We offer our staff wellbeing support, retail and travel offers and discounts.
  • Experience working in a range of scenarios, with children from a multitude of backgrounds and circumstances including SEN support, ESL (English as Second Language), challenging behaviour support and intervention support.
