Bid Writer / Senior Administrator

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, core working hours

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Dynamite Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our client based in Portsmouth who are looking for an experienced Bid Specialist to join the business at this busy and demanding time. Our client provides a number of specialist service to customers and are growing considerably due to their continued success.

The key responsibilities of the Bid Writer/Administrator are as follows:
  • Planning and coordinating the tender process.
  • Implement Bid room preparation and delivery. 
  • Liaise via telephone and email with internal stakeholders, customers and other departments.
  • Supporting the Bid Manager with a multitude of duties to secure new and retain current customers. 
  • Submit Invitation to Tenders, Requests for Proposals and Qualification Questionnaires.
  • Manage procurement portals, communication, membership and notifications.
  • Continuously review feedback to ensure improved submissions when welcoming new customers. 
  • Maintain accurate records including contract renewal dates, and relevant competitor information.
  • Assist Management with the on-boarding of new customers. 
  • Be able to provide useful insight and analysis of upcoming opportunities, mindsets and tendering best practice.
The ideal Bid Writer/Administrator will have/be:
  • Confident in managing multiple responses.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Understand graphic design and presentation.
  • Able to write copy.
  • Highly computer literate – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with individuals in different areas of the business.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Team player.
Desirable: An APMP Certification.
