Billing Analyst

Location: Whiteley, Hampshire, UK

Role Overview:

Working in a moderate size team (6), the role requires an enthusiastic individual with good attention to detail to take on all aspects of billing, an essential part of the finance process.  You will be required complete all related tasks including data maintenance, workflow monitoring, invoice production and quality control checks.

You will have the ability to work remotely within a dispersed team, taking a task and seeing it through to completion with minimal support, working with and supporting internal customers and maintaining best practice.

This role has arisen due to integration of business activity and additional workload created.  The individual may be required to work across multiple systems in different legal entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accurate and timely customer invoices using the Costpoint system
  • Entering, monitoring and managing the invoice approval workflow
  • Support the Billing Manager in updating and maintenance of billing data in the Costpoint system
  • Work with business project teams and finance analysts to resolve customer issues

Required Skills:

  • Enthusiastic self-starter
  • Knowledge of and comfort using Microsoft Office programmes – Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and process controls mentality
  • Good interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to learn new systems

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience of billing / customer invoice preparation using an accounting system
  • Accounting experience

  • Clearance to Start BPSS
  • Clearance for Role BPSS
