BOM Engineer

The successful BOM Engineer will work to achieve and maintain a high level of accuracy of all company BOMs.

The role will involve:

• Ownership of existing BOMs, bringing them up to required standards.
• Creation of BOMs for new products and variants of existing products.
• Responsible for new & existing item master data.
• Regular auditing of existing BOMs to maintain their accuracy and agreement with work instruction and physical build.
• Ensuring that changes resulting from change notes are correct across all effected BOMs.
• Ensuring suitable drawings and technical information are available for all standard and non-standard products.
• Ensure change notes are driven through the department and kept on target, supporting with all required MS Dynamics NAV database work regarding part numbers and BOMs.

To be successful in this role of BOM Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

• Ability to understand BOMs is required
• Understanding of change management processes/procedures and NPI process and relevant outputs
• Experience of working in the manufacturing sector and a good knowledge of manufacturing processes is required
• HND qualification or equivalent, in a relevant engineering discipline is desirable
• Experience of working with MS Dynamics NAV, or a similar system is essential
• Ability to read engineering drawings is required
• Experience of working with databases, extracting data from systems and manipulating in excel is preferred
