Bookeeper/Accountant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable bookkeeper/accountant to work alongside an energetic and vibrant management team. You'll ensure the business is fully compliant with all financial accounting and that all policies, procedures and processes are delivered.

The business has been trading for one year and is going from strength to strength. This is an on-site role based on 20 hours per week - over 4/5 days. Location Acton, W3.

Job Tasks/Duties

Recording all financial transactions daily

Preparing and submitting periodic financial reports to management

Performing account reconciliations

Processing income statements, balance sheets and other management account reports

Reviewing expenditures of the company such as payroll and petty cash expenses

Assisting with asset audits, as necessary

Assisting with other accounting tasks, as assigned by a supervisor

Complete management of the AP ledger including processing payment runs and supplier statements

Assist with yearly detailed budgets and monthly forecasting

Monitor club cashflow considering future cash demands

Preparing quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations.

Perform Credit Control function if / where necessary.

Education and/or Experience:

We are open to candidates with either the correct level of competance/experience or holding a Part to Full Qualification in ACA/ACCA/CIMA.

Desirable:

Sage accounting experience

Previous experience as a management accountant in the Health & Fitness/leisure industry
