Our client is a medium sized chartered accountancy practice who are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team based in North London. This is an opportunity to join a friendly team where progression is highly possible and they are also happy to employ someone either full or part time with flexibility and hours to suit.

Practice experience is a must, as is 3-5 years in a similar role. AAT qualification (or similar) would be an advantage also. They use Xero and Sage software for bookkeeping.

Working within a team, on a portfolio of clients with responsibilities including the following:

  • - Completing client bookkeeping
  • - Processing sales and purchases invoices
  • - Bank & credit card reconciliations
  • - Posting month end and quarter end journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals and prepayments
  • - Liaising with clients
  • - Prepare VAT returns for different VAT schemes and submit VAT returns

Ideal Person:

  • - Ideally you will be AAT/ ACCA or similar finance qualification
  • - Bookkeeper experience within a practice
  • - Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • - Worked with a client portfolio
  • - Experience working on Xero and or Sage

Hours 9.30 to 5.30 Monday to Friday (or part-time option available)

Salary £35-40k depending on experience and negotiable
