Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team.

The job role is full time 9am -5pm Monday to Friday -One hour lunch break.

Responsibilities

  • processing invoices and payment receipts
  • completing quarterly VAT returns
  • reconciling bank accounts, debtors and creditors
  • preparing income statements
  • ensuring the accuracy of all financial records
  • using accounting software (SAGE) to generate financial reports e.g. monthly management reports for board meetings
  • keeping track of daily transactions and reconciling intercompany transactions with the subsidiary company
  • preparing the books for the accounting team and assisting to finalise the accounts by carrying out internal audits of all transactions, providing and explaining transactions, completing end of year journals, reconciling previous year balances with current opening balances.
  • completing PAYE journals monthly
  • Creating and submitting payment requests for suppliers
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers.
  • additional various administration duties within the day to day running of the Company

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in sage accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounts processes and general accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
