We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Company Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our finance team, which plays a vital role in our business operations. What We Are Looking For: We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong numerical ability and excellent organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling bank accounts and updating the daily cashflow forecasts
  • Purchase ledger control including expenses and credit card for all group companies
  • Preparation of sales invoices and subsequent debt collection
  • Preparation of recharges to other group companies on a regular basis
  • Management of the accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation - all to be reconciled and updated monthly • Matching the monies received against the revenue management software (Iress CommPay) and highlighting any differences in preparation for a month end reconciliation.
  • Payroll for the group companies - under supervision by the Head of Finance
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements for the limited companies within the group • Assisting with the preparation of monthly/quarterly management information and KPIs for the Board
  • Provide necessary documentation during audits and assist in responding to auditor requests
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to finance operation
  • Maintaining financial records in compliance with finance policies and procedures Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns and other tax-related tasks
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of finance processes to drive efficiency Filing the Annual Confirmation Statements at Companies House
  • Providing general administration and other ad-hoc duties as required.

What You Will Need:

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role (essential)
  • AAT qualification (or working towards) or relevant finance/accounting studies (preferred)
  • Proficiency in accounting software - Xero (desirable)
  • Strong Excel skills and other Microsoft Office skills, including Copilot
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including cover for team members when needed
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
