This role is perfect for a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper seeking to work in the industrial/manufacturing industry, specifically in the Accounting & Finance department. Description

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Maintain financial records including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
  • Preparing and sending invoices and receipts to debtors
  • Processing payroll and maintaining employee records
  • Checking and correcting accounting errors and posting business transaction details to subsidiary books
  • Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records
  • Interacting with external auditors during audits
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal processes
  • Preparing financial reports for management when needed
  • Prepare VAT return
  • Assist with management accounts
  • Produce balance sheet reconciliations
  • Chasing payments

Profile

You will need:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
  • Ability to do up to trial balance
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Resilient and adaptable
  • Happy to work autonomously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Offer

  • c. £30,000 pa
  • Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  • Office based role, in Selly Oak
