Bookkeeper

We're seeking an organised, hands-on, and friendly bookkeeper to join a friendly and bubbly team at Chandlers Ford. This is a permanent position available on a 4 or 5-day-a-week basis, offering a competitive salary of c£35,000.

What you'll be doing:

• Process all sales and purchase invoices, chasing outstanding payments efficiently
• Reconcile credit card and bank statements, investigating any discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
• Prepare insightful management reports to support informed business decisions
• Handle VAT returns, ensuring timely and compliant submissions
• Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation
• Provide project support as required
• Train colleagues on the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Levy

You'll be a great fit if you have:

• Previous experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the construction sector
• A strong understanding of the CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) regulations
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) is desirable
