My client is a growing and longstanding business based in Aylesbur, who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a reputable but dynamic firm with a reputation for low staff turnover and their modern and inclusive culture.

Responsibilities & Behaviours:

· Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients

· Record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

· Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Collaborate with clients and internal team members to resolve accounting discrepancies.

· Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.

· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cloud accounting technology.

Qualifications:

· ACCA /ACA or AAT Qualification is not essential

· Individuals with proven experience in Bookkeeping to be considered Qualified by Experience

· Qualified By Experience

· Deep understanding and knowledge of cloud-based accounting.

· Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, in an accounting practice.

· Proficient and proven in cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks Online.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Skilled in giving feedback to junior and more senior members of a team.

· Ability to manage a team.
