Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper support the outsourcing team, who will manage their own work and assist the team in prioritising any work and queries that arise. If this sounds like you, here's what you need:

  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess well-rounded bookkeeping knowledge and experience.
  • Be familiar with cloud bookkeeping software.
  • Have a good knowledge of VAT.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised, manage time, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Show a keen eye for detail.
  • Be a proactive team member.
  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice preferred.

A day in this role will look like this:

  • Assist clients with bookkeeping and software queries.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure all records are complete and VAT returns are filed within deadlines.
  • Prepare necessary schedules and reports as required.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties to trial balance, including bank reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals, for a variety of clients.
  • Manage and file VAT and CIS returns.
  • Use various software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and ClearBooks for bookkeeping tasks.
  • Ensure all client work is completed within applicable timescales.
