REED are exclusively recruiting for a BOOKKEEPER for an established Accountancy Practice based near Christchurch. This opportunity is offered on a hybrid basis for Part Time hours,  supporting existing clients and the finance team.

You should have current experience as a Bookkeeper, dealing with debits and credits, Balance Sheet accounts, Reconciliations, CIS Returns and VAT. If you are currently a self employed Bookkeeper or working within an Accountancy Practice and looking for part time hours please touch base.

BOOKKEEPER (Hybrid) Part Time Hours 
Christchurch area 
Salary up to £32,000 per annum FTE

Duties

  • Using Xero (Essential experience required)
  • Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
  • Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountant of errors
  • Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies
  • Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
  • Preparing employee wages
  • Managing employee expense claims
  • Helping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
