Reed Accountancy are currently partnered with a well-established and ever-growing organisation in the Crawley area who are seeking a Bookkeeper to join their friendly finance team on an interim basis. Initially the role is a 6-month interim assignment however could be made permanent at the end of their interim assignment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Answering and directing phone calls, emails, and inquiries professionally.
  • Data entry for bookkeeping, cash flow reports, and managing payables/receivables.
  • Reconciling and approving supplier invoices for payment.
  • Reconciling supplier statements with accounting software.
  • Issuing invoices and managing daily financial transactions.
  • Handling direct debit payments and conducting month-end invoicing.
  • Sending remittance advice to suppliers for payments made.
  • Processing employee expenses.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative experience is desirable, with full training provided.
  • Professional and polite telephone manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Sage is advantageous, with training provided.
  • Ability to document and record processes accurately.
  • Highly focused with a keen eye for detail.
  • Professional and friendly demeanour.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-focused environment.
