Reed accountancy are excited to be working with a fantastic client in Stirling who are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the organisations finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in an all-rounded finance position with a relevant qualification such as AAT or CIMA and Sage experience is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Process payments and reconcile statements.
• Record financial transactions and prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
• Process payroll in compliance with laws and policies.
• Prepare and submit VAT filings.
• Keep financial records up to date and compliant.
• Assist with audits and support financial analysis and budget preparation.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5 days in the office
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., AAT, CPA) is a plus.
• Experience in the industry.
