Michael Page are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our clients Accounting & Finance team in Tameside. This pivotal role requires excellent organisational skills and a strong aptitude for numbers.

Description

The key responsibilities of a Bookkeeper will include:

  • Processing invoices, recording payments, and tracking expenses
  • Managing payroll and preparing financial reports
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Reconciling bank and credit card statements
  • Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning
  • Ensuring compliance with taxation laws
  • Providing support during audits
  • Collaborating with the team to improve financial processes

Profile

A successful Bookkeeper should have:

  • Strong bookkeeping and financial accounting experience.
  • Either qualified by experience or part-qualified.
  • Proficient with using Sage line 50 and Sage payroll - Essential
  • Good MS excel knowledge - Essential
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A professional approach to time management and deadlines
