Contract Position based at: University of Warwick (fully on site)
Position Description:
The individual will be technically outfacing and responsible for the day to day operation of the brake test facility, dealing with project planning and execution of test programs. You will be required to promote the facility at external events and work with the business team to develop the customer base both internally and with University partners, whilst promoting the test capability more widely within the industry to third parties.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in a mechanical test environment
- Experience in programming of control and data acquisition systems
- Ability to interpret and advise on data from a physical & mechanical perspective
- Practical experience working in a physical test and validation environment
- Capable of evaluating physical test data, drawing conclusions and being able to articulate to technical customer representatives
Preferred:
- Experience in the technical evaluation specifically with reference to vehicle friction braking systems and characteristics
- Experience in a friction brake test environment
- Understands electronic integration into mechanical control systems
- Experience technically taking the lead within a small team and own the team outcome at all levels
Education
- Educated to degree level in a mechanical and or physics related subject
