The opportunity:

The brand engagement and communications team manage the Markel brand, both internally and externally. The department is responsible for internal and external communications through employee communications and engagement initiatives, media relations, digital presence including social media channels and sponsorship. The department is responsible for the strategic direction and governance of the corporate brand in partnership with the corporate marketing and communications team.

What you'll be doing:

• Generate ideas to portray concepts and creative campaigns
• Produce artwork for digital and print communications
• Manage the Digital Asset Management tool (DAM) to ensure all approved templates and images are accessible to the wider business
• Creation of marketing literature and PowerPoint slides
• Ensure the corporate brand is consistent across all areas of the business and provide governance and guidance to the wider business and third parties
• Support creation and editing of video content
• Ownership of design tools and software

Our must haves:

• Proven work experience as a Brand Designer or Graphic Designer
• Portfolio of completed design projects
• Expert knowledge of image editing and design software such as Photoshop
• Passionate and driven about design with strong aesthetic skills and creativity
• Attention to visual details and be comfortable working within corporate brand guidelines.
• Layout and typography skills along with knowledge of video editing
• Ability to meet deadlines, collaborate with a team and engage with internal stakeholders when required
• Experience of Frontify brand management portal and Hive workflow tool would be advantageous but not essential
