Our client is a multi-disciplinary practice who require a Building Surveyor to join them based from their office in Reigate.

The majority of their work is for insurance companies which involves specifying and overseeing works mainly to domestic properties following fires, floods and more. The role would therefore be to undertake an initial visit to properties, prepare a detailed scope of works and once agreed, oversee works on site as Contract Administrator and Principal Designer.

It will also involve looking at structurally unstable buildings and surveying structures or buildings to produce technical drawings and providing solutions for reinstatement works and emergency improvement.

Building Surveyor Position Overview
  • Working predominantly on reinstatement / insurance projects
  • Make drawings, specifications and computer models of structures for building contractors
  • Use CAD for stimulation purposes
  • Liaise with designers, including architects to agree on safe designs
  • Contract administration, principal design and structural surveying duties
Building Surveyor Position Requirements
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Building Surveying or construction
  • MRICS or MCIOB are advantageous but not essential
  • Willing to travel across the South of England and spend one night away every fortnight
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Excellent communication skills and people skills
Building Surveyor Position Remuneration
  • Salary £30k - £55k - (DOE- Potentially more for the right candidate)
  • 25 Days holiday allowance plus BH
  • Pension
  • Package to be discussed at interview
