The Client:

Our client is a well-established firm of Chartered Surveyors with multiple offices specialises in building surveying services on diverse projects nationwide.

The Role:

As a Building Surveyor, you will be providing expert advice and technical support in building surveying, helping to expand the client’s footprint in the Southwest and nationwide.

Duties:

• Perform detailed building surveys, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, schedules of condition, and maintenance programs.
• Offer expert guidance on building regulations, planning permissions, and compliance.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors for sustainable solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, condition assessments, and due diligence investigations.
• Oversee projects from start to finish, including contract administration and quality control.
• Handle dilapidations assessments, negotiations, and settlements for landlords and tenants.
• Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
• Mentor team members and promote professional development.

Requirements

• Previously worked as a Building Surveyor or in a similar role
• Possess at least 4 years PQE.
• MRICS qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in building surveying.
• Direct client-facing or customer service experience.
• UK Driving Licence.
