We are working with a close-knit and growing social housing provider in Devon who are looking for an experienced surveyor to join their team to deliver surveying duties across their housing stock
Main Responsibilities:
 
  1. Responsible for general surveying duties in relation to identifying defects, stock condition and building surveys
  2. Working closely with the in-house trades & maintenance teams, you will be responsible for preparing project briefs, specifications and schedules of works with overall contract management
  3. Ensure that the teams have materials required to carry out repairs and general maintenance to properties – ensuring they follow all health and safety policies and procedures
  4. Conduct property inspections to investigate repair requests raised by customers, providing them with technical advice on defects including issues such as damp and mould
  5. Analyse asset data and responsive repair information to formulate cost-effective repair strategies
  6. Liaise and work closely with team members of the wider organisation, ensuring vulnerable residents are safeguarded and works are of a high standard, minimising complaints and managing any concerns or enquiries
  7. Carry out pre and post inspections of works and ensuring they are managed through to completion
  8. You will take part in the delivery of the asset management strategy for planned works including compliance and safety in buildings such as fire safety components
  9. Ensure all information is accurately recorded and logged onto the database
  
Job Requirements
  • Driver with access to own vehicle
  • Experience of surveying and/or professional qualification - HND/HNC
  • Experience of working in social housing
