This Brigg Scientific client is a medical device diagnostic company who are looking for a Business Development Manager to work in a hybrid role out of their site on The Wirral.

Sustained company growth necessitates the creation of a new post for a career biotechnologist to become the sales hub to liaise between existing and potential customers and the in-house project team as innovative products are taken to market.

Reporting to the MD you will have a broad portfolio of marketing and sales responsibilities to drive revenue growth and company brand awareness within specialist medical device marketplaces. Be prepared to travel, attend conferences, networking events and expos whilst using social media, PR to raise the company profile.

Duties and personal qualities will include the following:

  • PhD level knowledge from bioscience research
  • Practical laboratory experience ideally from a medical device development arena
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self motivated and proactive - target driven
  • A passion for IVD & medical device innovation
  • Business acumen - client proposals, grant applications - uncovering the opportunities

This a permanent role commanding a salary in the range £30-35k + company benefits + bonus structure. Applications are welcomed from PhD qualified biotechnologists who whilst having a passion for their subject are looking for career progression in a sales consultancy role.
