Membership Field Sales Executive / Client Engagement Business Development Manager who is personable and consultative with a good understanding of business issues is required to support businesses in the local area and increase membership numbers for a Business Network Association.

If you’re currently working as a Field Sales Executive or B2B Business Development Manager and enjoy travelling to potential client sites to present and highlight the benefits of becoming a business member with the Association, then this job could be ideal for you.

SALARY: £32,000 per annum + Commission

LOCATION: Preston,Lancashire, North West England (with travel within the local area. Candidates must have a full driver's license and their own vehicle)

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates MUST live within the Lancashire area.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a dynamic, highly motivated Membership Field Sales Executive / Client Engagement Business Development Manager who can engage with people at all levels of business, particularly those at senior level. A good understanding of business issues will be an advantage, as would a proven record in a membership or B2B sales environment.

Working as the Membership Field Sales Executive / Client Engagement Business Development Manager you will be responsible for growing the organisation’s membership base with a particular focus on developing new business relationships, as well as generating new income for the organisation.

Although you will work closely with other departments, as the Membership Sales & Client Engagement Business Manager, the ability to work without direct supervision and use your own initiative will be crucial. Given the nature of the job you must also have a flexible approach and be willing to work outside normal office hours as required.

Applicants must be qualified to drive and possess their own vehicle and live within the Lancashire region.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Membership Field Sales Executive / Client Engagement Business Development Manager include:

  • Responsible for achieving lead generation and appointment setting
  • The recruitment of Advanced, Premium and Patron members to an agreed monthly target and budget
  • Presenting the organisation to potential members through direct communication in face to face meetings, virtual meetings, telephone calls, emails, and group meetings
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution, pitch; negotiation; close
  • Attending a mixture of events/exhibitions to generate leads, appointments and new members
  • Keep abreast of business issues and ensure the organisation remains proactive and responsive to prospective members
