Business Development Manager (Pensions)

Are you a highly motivated Business Development Manager with Pensions experience? The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and a proven track record in business development. This role involves building and maintaining valuable relationships with financial advisers, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring the product propositions are recognised as market-leading. Working in a field/remote based capacity in Yorkshire


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong consultative business relationships with the external intermediary market.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities by understanding the external environment and marketplace.
  • Achieve new business and retention targets, aiming for targeted growth across all products.
  • Add value and improve outcomes for advisers, becoming a trusted partner.
  • Maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders to deliver growth and profit.
  • Promote new and existing sales opportunities through presentations and face-to-face or virtual appointments.
  • Identify sales opportunities using data and insight to manage the panel.
  • Ensure a smooth, efficient, and professional sales process guided by consumer duty principles.
  • Provide excellent and professional service.
  • Support and follow up on central sales campaigns and national events.
  • Clearly communicate the features and benefits of our products.



Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape to proactively create new relationships.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in a business development role within financial services.
  • Experience delivering sales through a consultative approach.
  • Good technical knowledge of the financial services market and solutions.
  • Level 4 qualification or equivalent within a required timeframe or willingness to meet them.
