Business Development Manager – Glasgow – £35,000

Chase & Holland are excited to be partnering with a leading international manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their business.

As Business Development Manager, you will be generating new business for the organisation using a variety of methods. You will have previous business development experience and a proven track record of success. This business is seeing a strong period of growth year on year and this role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a global business that can offer a fantastic friendly working environment and internal development.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
  • Prospecting for potential new clients and turning this into increased business
  • Cold calling as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Meeting potential clients by growing, maintaining your network
  • Identifying potential clients, and decision makers
  • Researching and building relationships with new clients
  • Participating in pricing the solution/service
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion
  • Arranging and participating in internal and external client debriefs
  • Attending industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
  • Presenting to and consulting with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators

Skills Required:
  • Business development experience
  • A background within Engineering, Manufacturing or FMCG (desirable)
  • Team player
