Our client is at the heart of the global investment community providing insightful analysis, research and data to many of the world’s global financial institutions.

Their clients include most of the world’s top tier investment banks, Hedge Funds, Pension Funds, Private Equity Firms, Brokers and Government Institutions who rely on them to provide regular analysis and advice to stay ahead of the market.

Offering a very generous and uncapped commission structure, our client is now seeking to add to their London based Sales team by recruiting for a Business Development Manager.

About the role of Business Development Manager

Joining an ambitious, hungry sales team based in the heart of Central London and learning from experienced Sales Professionals you will be responsible for:

  • Selling subscriptions of our client’s award-winning online data, news and intelligence platform to senior level targets within service providers including: Investment Banks, PE Firms, Hedge Funds, Fund Managers and Service Providers
  • Utilising your business acumen & sales skills, you will be responsible for the full sales business cycle, from identifying key targets, delivering online demonstrations to matching their focus with our client’s services, through to pricing negotiations & closing.
  • You will become an integral part of the sales team, aiming to maximise opportunities within your territory to further grow your client base
  • In addition to your office-based sales responsibilities, you may occasionally be expected to attend external meetings events to see clients for networking purposes

The environment and sales floor is fast paced yet professional, fun and collaborative - the work culture is start up orientated, fun and vibrant. If you have at least 2 years in B 2 B Subscription Sales (or more!) and would like to be considered, then we would love to hear from you!

Training is ongoing and the commission scheme is uncapped and attractive!

About You

  • 2+ years demonstrable experience in subscription sales i.e., Business Intelligence, Business Information, Market Data or Market Research Sales
  • Exceptional prospecting and closing skills
  • Experience of presenting face to face and via online demonstrations
  • Experience of selling into Financial Institutions would be beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of financial service markets or derivatives would be a bonus
  • Pipeline building, management and forecasting
  • User of sales methodology such as Challenger, Spin Selling or MEDDICC
