About The Job:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and managing successful business relationships in the security industry. You will identify new business opportunities, manage existing accounts, and collaborate with various departments to ensure client needs are met efficiently. We are seeking a customer-focused, problem-solving individual with excellent attention to detail and a drive for excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build relationships with potential and existing clients in the security industry.
  • Execute a business plan to drive revenue growth for the organisation.
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to improve service delivery and win new business.
  • Analyse market trends and customer feedback to suggest product/service improvements.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and manage the sales process from lead generation to contract execution.
  • Develop pricing strategies, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and proposals to key decision-makers.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Sales and marketing skills to generate leads and close deals.
  • Excellent communication skills to build genuine rapport with clients.
  • Strong network of contacts in the security industry.
  • Technical knowledge of different security systems.
  • Analytical thinking to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Problem-solving skills to address customer needs and objections.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development selling security systems, fire alarms, intruder alarms, etc. to small, medium sized and large businesses
  • In-depth knowledge of security industry trends
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth
  • Experience with the full sales cycle
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office software - preferably CRM systems including Salesforce!
  • Full UK driving licence or the ability to travel to client meetings in greater London
  • Drive and enthusiasm to make a positive contribution
