Acton Jennings LLP is a small, family-run consultancy specialising in health and safety and human resources with a reputation for integrity, trustworthiness, and commitment to a personalised service. We now seek a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our dedicated team to expand our business and enhance our services.

Role Overview:
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, brings fresh ideas to the table, and has a proven track record in sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To meet individual sales targets and to expand the existing sales team.
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with potential clients.
  • Manage and expand existing client accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop innovative strategies and solutions for our clients.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to the management team.

Attributes:

  • Business to business sales experience is essential, a background selling HR and health and safety services to business owners and company directors would be useful but not necessary as full training will be given.
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles.
  • Excellent communication and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

What We Offer:

  • Basic salary £35,000 with performance-based incentives. OTE £45- £50k but potentially considerably more.
  • The position will be home based after an initial training period and a location in the East or West Midlands would be an advantage.
  • A company car or mileage allowance.
