We have an exciting career opportunity for a Property Factors Business Development Manager to join our Scotland team in a hybrid role that enables working from home and our offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

If you have Business Development / New Business Integration experience within Property Factors either as a dedicated role, or as part of your Property Manager remit, this is a superb opportunity to join a national market leader with a strong pipeline of organic growth. We also welcome applications from Business Development Managers working within house builders/developers.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to our Operations Director the Business Development Manager will be responsible for seeking and acquiring new business in Scotland and this will require you to travel to client meetings, developments and our offices so you must have a valid driving licence, own transport and be willing to travel.

  • Leadership of the new business support team
  • Maintain relationships with Developer clients for future new business opportunities
  • Actively seek out new opportunities by using the relationships in place across RMG regions.
  • Work with colleagues in Business Development to ensure the budgets and proposal documents are completed in the best way to meet the potential customers’ requirements.
  • Work closely with the Operations Director in the planning and implementation of the agreed sales programme.
  • Deliver the budgeted financial targets.
  • Deliver excellent spoken and written communications for all aspects of the tendering process.
  • Operate in an organised and focused manner.
  • Maintain a commercial awareness of the property factors sector and changes in legislation
  • Play an active role in the successful transition from a new customer to an established customer. The BDM will work with the Property Managers and other team members, for a specified period, to ensure a successful transition and customer satisfaction.
  • Undertake regular reviews with clients.
  • Ensure availability for statutory meetings (AGMs)
  • Reporting at all levels internally and externally
  • Actively promote the brand.

What are we looking for?

  • Solid property factors experience and have a complete understanding of the property management process and a comprehensive understanding of the Property Manager’s roles and responsibilities.
  • Previous Team management experience
  • Possess an awareness of all associated legislation and keep abreast of any changes and how they might have an impact on working procedures.
  • Ensure teams are compliant with legislation to protect clients and the business.
