Our client is an Established, Family Run, Building Management, Architectural, and Construction Services Business who work in the Domestic and Commercial markets in the Southeast of England.

They are seeking an Enthusiastic, Passionate and Results-oriented Business Development Manager to work alongside the business owner as his number two and who wants to progress their career.

This role has an opportunity to grow into a senior, decision maker position and also to ultimately become a Director in the business.

This is an important role, and you will be pivotal in growing a successful team who are focused on getting the business to the next level on a national basis.

Salary & Benefits Package

  • 40K to 70K Subject to Experience + Unlimited Bonuses.
  • Unlimited bonus based on business brought in (£20/£30/£40K and beyond).

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute the marketing plan.
  • Set appointments and meetings for the Sales dept.
  • Develop the CRM and database for future use.
  • Finding target market leads.
  • Assisting and covering the Business Owners sales and surveying functions.
  • Help with all the daily tasks, as and when necessary.

Results Expected In this Role

  • To generate 5 new signed contracts a week.
  • To generate 20 sat leads a month.
  • To establish a new strategic partnership or collaboration per month.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • In-depth understanding of the construction industry and project management.
  • An understanding of the Architecture Process.
  • In-depth understanding of sales and marketing principles, strategies, and best practices to effectively promote and sell products or services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, negotiate deals, and present proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts and agreements that are mutually beneficial and align with the company's objectives.
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional service to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty.

Experience Required

  • At least 3 years of working in a construction or architectural or property renovation business in the real world.
  • Proven track record of at least 2+ years in sales, business development, or a related field, with demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic business development plans that align with the company's goals and drive sustainable growth.
  • Extensive experience in acquiring new clients, managing client relationships, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

Other Special Requirements

  • Should be based within striking distance of Dartford, Kent and willing to travel for client meetings, events, and other appointments to the area for ease of access to the company’s headquarters and local clients.
  • Strong proficiency in using modern business tools and technologies, including CRM software, sales automation tools, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation for travel to client meetings and industry events.
