Job Description:

Our client, a leading Discretionary Fund Manager (DFM), is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join their team in London. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding the client base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in discretionary fund management and a robust network of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and engage with prospective clients, leveraging your existing relationships with IFAs.
  • Present and promote the client’s range of investment solutions to IFAs and other intermediaries.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with IFAs to ensure ongoing client engagement and satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback on market trends and client needs to help shape product development and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the investment and marketing teams to deliver high-quality presentations and pitches.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to promote the client’s offerings and network with potential clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within a Discretionary Fund Manager (DFM) setting.
  • A well-established network of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) and the ability to bring these relationships to the client.
  • Strong understanding of investment products and solutions offered by DFMs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
