Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead our expansion in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and driving sales to achieve our ambitious growth targets. This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and ideally a deep understanding of the UK energy market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities, customer needs, and assess the competitive landscape in the UK.
  • Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to penetrate the UK market and achieve sales objectives.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively seek out and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and forming strategic partnerships.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to closing deals. This includes preparing proposals, delivering presentations, and negotiating contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure a unified approach to market entry and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the energy sector or technology industry.
  • Sector Knowledge: Proven experience dealing with clients within Facilities Management, Local Authorities, or Housing Associations.
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced start-up environment.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
