Business Development Partner (Bid & Tender Management)

Good Work Partners are working with a well-established charity who are looking for dynamic and highly motivated Business Development Partner to join their well-established Bid Management Team. The Business Development Partner is a meticulous and highly organised individual who, working as part of the Bid Management Team, can work both independently and as part of a team and use their commercial acumen to produce high-quality bids and ensure organisational growth targets are achieved.

You will be Contributing to maintaining the group opportunities pipeline, by undertaking assessments of growth opportunities. Working closely with the Head of Bid Management, Senior Business Development Partners, and other Business Development Partners to ensure agreed growth objectives and targets are met whilst also retaining and renewing current bids and contracts. Maintaining up-to-date policy awareness, developments, and longer-term opportunities across all business areas of interest to the group.

You will be managing a project team and leading on the end-to-end process of tender opportunities, including developing project plans, researching, writing to submit high-quality bids in line with both the growth forecasts and strategy.Therole involves both bid management and bid writing duties, including the use of AI tools.
As part of the end-to-end process, you will be responsible to co-ordinate the production of supplemental tender requirements such as financial models, staffing structures and implementation plans, considering dependencies within the project plan.

What you need:

  • Educated to degree level and/or significant experience in bid management within the welfare to work sector.
  • At least 2 years of proven track record of managing end to end bid writing and tender process lifecycle.
  • Experience of leading/facilitating service design processes including co[1]design and co-production with internal and external partners.
  • Excellent written communication skills, capable of producing persuasive, informed and high-quality bids and supporting documents with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills and capable of meeting challenging deadlines and also to be able to work independently and part of a type from all areas of the organisation.
  • Skilled in negotiating and influencing discussions in complex or difficult areas to achieve desired outcome.
  • Able to source relevant information from colleagues across the organisation to support bid management / writing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in developing creative and innovative propositions in response to opportunity specifications.
  • High level of commercial acumen.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and related software and able to quickly grasp new programmes as required.
