We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join a leading comtractor who provide effective and fast, high pressure water jetting services to commercial and domestic clients across Kent. They provide solutions for all drainage problems including blocked drains, drain root removal, cracked pipes, die tracing services & CCTV drain surveys.

The role will involve attending the head office, based in Rainham atleast once a week aswell as managing your diary, liaising and maintain current client relationships aswell as developing and growing new business

Our clients services are provided for a wide range of customers including commercial businesses, residential property owners, restaurants and pubs, letting agents, agricultural properties, schools, colleges, universities and care homes.

You will need to have a proven track record negotiating terms and contracts within the industry

Office location: Rainham, Kent

Monday to Friday

Hybrid role

Key duties:

  • Identify areas to up-sell to existing clients.
  • Identify new areas of business and companies to sell our clients services into.
  • Be able to find the right connection and develop this relationship within new and existing clients.
  • Travel to trade shows, client's premises, and strive to be a tenacious personality within the industry.
  • Handle any company generated leads with diligence and professionalism.
  • Maintain prospect client's and current client's database.
  • Keep abreast of all developments within the industry, so that you can have meaningful conversations with clients.
  • Represent yourself and the business in the best possible light at all times

Skills & Experience

  • Ideally you will have experience within the Drainage sector working within our clients core sectors
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Good track record of consistently meeting targets and objectives
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
  • Exemplify the interpersonal skills necessary to "shape the creative vision", build and nurture customer relationships over the sales cycle/process.
  • Possess natural desire for converting warm leads and pursuing all credible opportunities to provide increased revenue whilst not losing sight of our quality and organisational core value and ethos.
