Business & Financial Reporting Analyst

London (Hybrid)

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Contract to 30/06/2025

£550 per day via Umbrella Company

Our client, one of the largest financial institutions headquartered in Japan, is seeking a Business & Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team in London. This is a fixed-term contract position, with the contract extending until June 2025. As a Business & Financial Reporting Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting EU AG ESG reporting and preparation of EU Taxonomy reports. You will analyse change drivers of the Green Asset Ratio and reconcile accounting data and regulatory reporting. Additionally, you will be involved in implementing CSRD/EU taxonomy reporting capabilities and developing workflows and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support coordination of any technical change affecting the reporting requirements of EU and EU Group
  • Define and maintain implemented data definitions and ensure timely delivery of data
  • Prepare test cases and execute related testing
  • Establish reporting workflows and document them properly
  • Assist in the preparation of the first reporting
  • Develop controls to identify data quality issues and strive for improvement
  • Provide instructions to correct data in source systems if necessary and ensure accurate reporting
  • Support the implementation of CSRD/ESRS disclosure requirements assigned to Finance & Control department
  • Ensure timely, complete, and efficient implementation of changes to ESG reporting
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors
  • Contribute to improving reporting processes

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in a regulatory advisory or reporting role within a financial institution or consultancy firm (experience in ESG reporting is a plus)
  • Ability to understand complex concepts of new regulatory requirements and effectively communicate them to IT
  • Strong analytical skills for understanding regulatory-driven changes and developing appropriate solutions and data analytics
