Lecturer in Business Studies

Salary: paying up to £39,000p/a

We are seeking an inspirational and enthusiastic Lecturer to join our Business and Professional Studies department. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Levels 1-3 BTEC courses. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for planning learning programmes, guiding students through their educational journey, and conducting assessments.

Day-to-day of the role:
Plan and deliver engaging learning programmes for BTEC courses at Levels 1-3.Guide students through the learning process, providing support and motivation.
Undertake student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
Act as a personal tutor, offering pastoral care and promoting attendance.
Support students in attaining suitable work placements.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development, and review activities within the subject area.
Drive continuous improvement within the College and support the Head of Department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
A Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
A minimum of a Level 3 Business qualification, preferably a degree.
Experience teaching in Further Education (FE) on BTEC programmes, with business industry experience being ideal.
Proven track record of delivering on BTEC courses.
Relevant degree or equivalent industrial or professional qualification.
Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent.
