We are seeking a talented Risk and Control specialist. You will play a crucial role in identifying and assessing emerging risks, evaluating controls, and enhancing risk management practices. This is a contract position with a global focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessments: Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of thematic risk assessments and lessons learnt reviews across Markets Sales and Trading businesses worldwide.
- Risk Identification: Identify inherent risks, evaluate controls, and perform gap analysis to drive issue remediation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across Front Office, Independent Compliance Risk Management, and Operational Risk.
- Challenge Senior Management: Provide a robust challenge to senior stakeholders on non-financial risks and control effectiveness.
- Control Remediation: Collaborate with stakeholders to determine necessary control enhancements based on assessment findings.
- Subject Expertise: Leverage your expertise in risk and control to support all three lines of defence
- Risk Monitoring: Continuously monitoring the risk profile of sales and trading businesses.
- Thematic Risk Assessment Plan: Contribute to the development of the thematic risk assessment plan, ensuring comprehensive risk coverage.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Market Knowledge: Understanding Market Sales and Trading activities, risks, and related controls.
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with industry-wide regulatory actions and remediation programs is advantageous.
- Risk Management Practices: Strong grasp of risk assessment, control evaluation, and residual risk measurement.
- Project Execution: Proven ability to execute complex projects within challenging timelines.
- Attention to Detail: Deliver with rigour and meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborative Approach: Work effectively across lines of defence, influencing and supporting stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for impactful interactions.
