Reed Finance Practice have been engaged by a top UK accountancy firm to recruit to their ever-growing Business Services team.

The team provide accounting services to a wide range of clients from manufacturing, technology to charities and agriculture, giving you insight to a good selection of industries.

We are working with the firm to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their regional office, on the outskirts of Cambridge.

Your role will look like –

  • Preparing financial accounts for businesses from sole traders to large, limited companies.
  • Corporate and personal tax compliance
  • An element of Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns

There will be occasions you will need to travel to the clients’ premises, which will not only give you a better insight to how their business works but will enable you to develop a sound relationship with the client.

To be considered for this excellent role in an award-winning firm, your CV will show –

  • Part or fully AAT qualified, perhaps at the beginning of your ACCA/ACA studies.
  • Experience of working in another accountancy practice, providing a similar service. 

You may be working in a smaller firm and looking to move to an organisation that likes to promote from within and can give you exposure to bigger clients to enhance your professional career.

On a personal level you will be diplomatic, professional, self-motivated, able to work with confidential information, driven to develop both professionally and personally, and you will need a clean UK driving licence.
