Are you enthusiastic about Business Studies and passionate about teaching? GSL Education is in search of a charismatic Business Studies Teacher to join a local secondary school in Poole for a permanent position starting in September 2024.

The school believes in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically and creatively. As a Business Studies Teacher you could teach a variety of business-related subjects including business practice and management, accounting, information technology, administration and economics.

As a Business Studies Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate is not only well-versed in the subject matter but also enthusiastic about making Business Studies accessible and enjoyable for students of varying abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and comprehensive Business Studies lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  2. Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to excel.
  3. Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make Business Studies relevant and captivating for students.
  4. Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
  5. A positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for literature and language, promoting respectful behaviour among students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or a related field.
  • Teaching certification in Business Studies or Information Technology.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS
  • Proven experience teaching Business Studies at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.  
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
