An opportunity has arisen for a diligent and organised Business Support Officer to offer robust Secretarial & Business Support to an education client based in Manchester City Centre.

Description

  • Maintain the student records system with accurate and timely assessment information related to your area of responsibility. Audit the work of other colleagues (e.g. partner colleagues supporting your area of responsibility) to ensure records have been created and maintained correctly, taking action where necessary. Use detailed knowledge of processes, Regulations and other guidance to make decisions about how to create and maintain records for complex and non-standard cases.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Assessments Office processes.
  • Interpret communication schedules in the context of your area of responsibility and ensure all communications are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Provide administrative support to relevant committees, boards and meetings where required.
  • Act as the first point of contact for advice and guidance in relation to assessment enquiries from staff and clients relating to your Delegated Assignments, understanding and identifying when to delegate or escalate queries.

Profile

A successful Business Support Officer should have:

  • Experience in an Administrative position
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Experience in managing and implementing complex administrative processes used in a busy office within a complex organisation
  • Experience of working within the Education sector - desired not essential
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work as part of a team
