Business Support Officer
Location: Morson Road Depot, Enfield Council
Pay Rate: £15 per hour
Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:15)
Contract Type: Temporary (19th May 2025 - 15th August 2025)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Passenger Transport Services team at Enfield Council as a Business Support Officer. This is a dynamic, fast-paced department responsible for transporting special educational needs (SEN) service users to and from their educational settings. Role Overview:

As a Business Support Officer / Data Processor, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth data handling and administrative support within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organise, transfer, process, and securely store sensitive data

  • Provide high-quality administrative support

  • Accurately type and process documentation

  • Maintain and update databases

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders

  • Assist in reactive tasks while maintaining a proactive approach

Requirements:
  • Strong typing and IT skills (Microsoft Word & Excel essential)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Prior experience in data processing or admin support roles

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Database management experience is highly desirable

Ideal Candidate:

You'll be reliable, diligent, and able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a local authority or SEN setting would be a bonus but is not essential.
