Business System Analyst
Role: Business System Analyst
Salary: £35,000 - £75,000
Hybrid: 2 days a week
Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced software developer or analyst with a background in IT or software vendors, preferably in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage projects independently.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Group Operations Director or Project Manager. May work alone or in a team, depending on project size.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure insurance systems to meet client needs.
- Produce project feasibility reports.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams.
- Create documentation and reports using tools like Crystal Reports and MS Report Builder.
- Build and modify SQL queries and databases.
- Translate client requirements into project documents.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Prepare and present proposals to clients.
- Collaborate with developers and end users.
- Create and manage testing schedules.
- Oversee project implementation.
- Write user manuals and provide training.
- Stay updated with industry developments.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of the insurance lifecycle.
- Proficiency in SQL and database applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to configure software applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Responsible and autonomous work ethic.
- Proficient in standard office IT applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Several years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities.
